As part of the Lucas BrakeCheck program, Collins Motors offers a free brake check, by appointment only. This check lasts approx. half an hour or so and is therefore not available without a booking.

The brakes are tested for condition, wear, performance and leakage. The boiling point of the brake fluid is also checked. The brake check consists of a visual check, with the aid of measuring instruments, for condition, followed by a performance test on brake rollers. This check is also applied as part of certain levels of car servicing.

Our brake technicians are fully qualified, having attended brake related courses at Lucas, one of the biggest manufacturers of brakes in the world. In addition our garages have passed the Lucas criteria for equipment and technical skills.
